Aquaria KLCC

Spent 1/2 day at the Aquaria KLCC last 2 days with my parents since I got the free tickets from my sis. The admission fees are RM38 for adults and RM26 for children but if you show them MyKad it would be RM28 for adults and RM22 for children. For more info please click here.

I was attracted by a few tanks of small fishes when I first walked in. Look like some sort of tropical fish but actually they are the
MAN-EATER : Piranha !

Red-Bellied Baby Piranha. They don't seem scary at all. Look like a bunch of small yellow fishes.

Tropical Fish

Giant Arapaima-The largest Freshwater fish.

The captivating Lion Fish. Their sting can be fatal to humans!

The Cute Porcupine Puffer Fish a.k.a Balloonfish or globefish.
Puffers have the ability to inflate rapidly, filling their extremely elastic with water or air until they are almost spherical in shape when they are being attacked.

Turtle

Aquaria also displays rainforest reptiles and jungle creatures from various parts of the world.

Jewels of the Jungle-Treetop Serpents

The Water Dragons.
Conjoined twins huh?!

As soon as I reached the RainForest area I saw this..

This is just 1 small part of THIS...

HUGE onot?! There's a tree in the tank!
Somehow it looks like some Super Huge Mixer blending some fruit juice. :)

This unique 5.3 metre high
Flooded Forest Tube tank
enchants visitors with aquatic exhibits that leisurely swim within the water column up to the treetops.

Then we reach the climax of the ‘Journey’. On a moving walkway inside the 90 meter tunnel we can experience sharks, rays and also other sea creatures swimming around us.

Really Huge Rays

Shark swimming right over my head.

It was my first trip to KLCC Aquaria but I get a little disappointed because I didn't see what I've expected to. There are not many varieties of fish and colorful corals as compared to the Hong Kong's Ocean Park. The Ocean Park really impressed me and is still the best I have ever seen. But Aquaria is still worth going to if you have not been there before.

Overall rating : 3/5 .
